Our Hydrodemolition Process

Rentajet follows a five-step process on every hydrodemolition mobilisation.

01. Site Survey and Method Statement

We survey the structure, the removal scope, the rebar layout, the access and the water
management constraints. Method statement and risk assessment produced to WJA Code of
Practice.

02. Mobilisation and Set-Up

A purpose-built rig is mobilised and deployed into the pipe or sewer. Pump units run at up to 2,800 bar, with all hoses, nozzles and connections inspected under WJA Code of Practice.

03. Robot Set-Up and Commissioning

Robot positioned and aligned, or handheld equipment configured for the access. Cut depth,
traverse speed and nozzle configuration set and signed off before water is applied.

04. Concrete Removal

The robot is run remotely or the handheld lance is operated to remove concrete to the
specified depth. The jet stops at sound substrate, leaving rebar exposed clean and intact.
Vibration-free concrete removal throughout.

05. Handover for Repair

Substrate washed down, surface profile confirmed against the repair specification, rebar
inspected and signed off as repair-ready. Photographic record and removal report issued.
